Our History & Ministry

For more than two decades, Clean Heart Christian Ministries has been a place of hope, encouragement, and practical help for individuals and families in Sparta and the surrounding Upper Cumberland region. What began as a vision to help people make positive changes in their lives has grown into a multifaceted Christian ministry reaching people who are facing some of life's most difficult circumstances.

Clean Heart Christian Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located at 17 East Maple Street in Sparta, Tennessee. The organization was formally established as a nonprofit in 2010, while the ministry's current history describes a longer legacy of service to the community. Today, Clean Heart continues to provide a welcoming place where people can seek help without having to face difficult seasons alone.

A Ministry for Real-Life Needs

Over the years, Clean Heart has developed a broad range of ministries designed to address real needs in the community. Recovery programs provide support for individuals seeking freedom from destructive patterns and addictions. Anger-management and 12-step programs offer structured opportunities for people who want to make meaningful changes in their lives. Loss and grief support helps individuals walk through the pain that follows the loss of someone or something important.

Crisis Pregnancy & Family Support

The ministry has provided pregnancy testing, prenatal and parenting education, career guidance, and assistance with necessities such as diapers, wipes, formula, and other baby supplies. Parenting education is another part of Clean Heart's commitment to strengthening families. Programs such as Breaking the Cycle are designed to help parents understand healthy relationships, develop better parenting skills, and break destructive patterns that can be passed from one generation to another.
